VINE (Victim Notification Network)

The Victim Notification Network, also known as VINE, will be offline from December 1, 2023 to March 31st, 2024. The office shall review if the issue remains unresolved by then.

During this period, the following guidelines have been put in place by the Sheriff’s office to guide you through the process of finding the status of an incarcerated person.

 

  1. For existing registrations, please use the “Find a Person in Jail” tab found on our website (SFSheriff.com) to find the status of the incarcerated person.
    1. The incarcerated person can be searched by their First and Last Name or the SF # or their Booking Number
    2. Once you find the incarcerated person, please contact the Sheriff's Office public information line at 415-553-1430 for more information regarding the status of the person in custody.
  2. If you are a new registrant, please send an email directly to sfso.vine.registration@sfgov.org. Personnel from the Sheriff’s Office will review your request and provide a response to your request by e-mail or telephone.
