On September 3, 2024, Aamonte Hadley, an individual in custody at County Jail #2, was discovered unresponsive. Medical staff began immediate life-saving measures. Unfortunately, Ms. Hadley passed away.
The San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office confirmed contact with the Hadley family. The Sheriff's office also contacted Aamonte's family.
Currently, there are independent investigations being conducted by the Department of Police Accountability, the Medical Examiner's Office, and the Criminal Investigations Unit of the Sheriff's Office surrounding the circumstances of Ms. Hadley's death.
Information will be provided at the conclusion of these investigations.
